Some good points...

I was really excited to read this book based on all the rave reviews... again, maybe I went into it with too much expectations. There was some really good points but it wasn't "life changing."

Don't Waste Your Money On This Book

I have bought several books on this related subject. I think this book it's the worst. I have to accept that some of the advice she gives is good, but also common sense. It needs a lot more improvement...

One of the chapters in the book says that it's ok to sleep with a man on the first date. Why risk your chance of loosing MR. Right by showing him how inressistible you're to him? Most men will agree that the fith date is the right one. Most men like a challenge. Remember that men love competition. This lady also says that you should conform with what you have or whatever you get out of life and that this is it! This is NOT it! You should always strive for improving yourself and getting the best out of life because you deserve it. The perfect man might not exist, but the one who suits most of your desires qualities is out there.

If you're looking for a really good book that will help you realize all the mistakes you're doing wrong in attracting and keeping the right man. I recommend you to read Think Like A Guy or Catch Him And Keep Him.
Life is too short to make every mistake and learn from it. Learn from the experts. It will save you a lot of time and disapoitments!

Make Everyone Want You

This book is not about dating or your relationship with your significant other -- actually, that's just the fun & sexy title to get you to read the book. Really, Marie Forleo's book, "Make Every Man Want You (or Make Yours Want You More): How to Be So Damn Irresistible You'll Barely Keep From Dating Yourself!" is a self-improvement book about how to clean up your junk & enjoy your life, regardless of who else is living it with you. The idea is that once you love your life & are enjoying yourself, everyone (including potential mates, clients, friends) will find you irresistible.

I would have never picked this book up (since I'm married) except that Marie and I are in a mastermind group together. But I am SO GLAD that I bought and read her book, because I immediately put into practice & changed some little but major things in my life that have already improved my happiness and my relationship with my husband.

The #1 lesson I put into practice: "Life Is Now, This Is It." My husband and I have been planning to sell our house and move for ages. So I let it go -- clutter filled out house, stuff was broken, because it was like, what's the point? We are going to sell anyway. So we lived in a house we hated. For years.

Right after I finished the book I spent an hour or two cleaning up the front yard & porch -- got rid of a dead bush & junky college-like plastic furniture, and bought 3 new plants & pots for the porch. Wow. What a transformation. Then I de-cluttered the living room & kitchen, got a handyman service to spend 2 hours fixing broken stuff, took 2 loads to charity, and started spending 15 minutes a day just tidying the house.

Having a nice place to hang out w/ my husband has improved my marriage & de-stressed my life -- and reduced my level of frustration because I live in a peaceful environment.

If you just want a few "rules" to follow to trick a man to love you, don't read this book. But if you want to learn how to have an amazing life (with or without a sig other), check out Marie's book!

"Who Knew it Could be this Easy"

I really enjoyed this book, it was light fun and an easy read. Who knew that being yourself could attract the man of your dreams.

I loved Chapter 4, "the 7 Habits of Highly Unattractive Women". I got such a chuckle reading this chapter and saw the times in my life when I behaved in some of these manners. I know I find it highly unattractive when a man is insecure, needy, or wants constant approval, so why should I think that a man would find these attractive in me.

Chapter 6 also contained some real gems. I especially liked the section on the "Mystical Mr. Right" I get it now... he only exists in my mind!

Another book I have read that I really enjoyed is Being Here: Modern Day Tales of Enlightenment This book has many short stories that all are about "being" and as I know now, "Being Yourself" makes you irresistible.

Surprisingly profound

I thought this would be a fun read, nothing too weighty. It is written in a peppy, up-beat style and is easy to read.
I have been on the personal development journey for a number of years and have read much weightier books by well respected gurus and deep thinkers, but in this little book, so many of these ideas came together in a way that made incredible sense, a series of powerful ah-ha moments.
The concepts of living in the now, of paying attention to the stories we tell ourselves and others about our lives and the benefits of reinventing those stories, of genuinely letting go of the past and living a new day on our own terms all hit home with clarity and relief.
I was very surprised to get so much out of this little book. Having read the other reviews before i placed the order, now I wonder if someone were reading these ideas for the first time that they would not make sense - hence some of the less enthusiastic reviews. If you have an open mind and are genuinely ready to grow as a person, then this book will not only help you with dating but in all your relationships, especially your relationship with yourself!
