| If Democrats Had Any Brains, They'd Be Republicans by Crown Forum Coulter for brains | | I've heard it said that Republicans have "crap" for brains. Democrats would be better off not having brains like a Republican, or Ann Coulter for that matter. There is nothing here of intellectual value. This is just a large package of mental 1-ply toilet paper: thin, see-through, and gets your hands messy. | | If Democrats Had Any Brains, They'd Be Republicans by Crown Forum By far the worst Coulter book | | Though I don't usually agree with Ms. Coulter, I enjoy reading her books. She is a great writer and one can learn a lot about law, politics, and history by reading her work. Unlike "Godless", "Slander", "Treason", and "High Crimes...", this book lacked clear thesis and just seemed to be a random collection of zingers. I think Ann should stop being a pundit and maybe teach law or something because she is starting to sound like a broken record. | | If Democrats Had Any Brains, They'd Be Republicans by Crown Forum Entertaining, but Not Comprehensive | This book is entertaining, and offers insight into Ann Coulter's conservative views in a lively way. The format of the book, though, appeals mainly, if not solely, to devoted Coulter fans who are familiar with her past works. It is mostly a collection of quotes, some rarer than others, made by Coulter on a wide array of issues.
The book focuses on giving the reader a broad idea of Coulter's views and is not very argument based. It is entertaining, but if you're looking for an in-depth argument on the issues, defer to one of her previous books. | | If Democrats Had Any Brains, They'd Be Republicans by Crown Forum It's about me, Ann Coulter | | I read a Kindle sample of this book to see what the "other side" was thinking. Well, I was very unimpressed. Not because of her insults, but because most of what I read was about how great Ann Coulter thinks she is. Even if she is joking, I didn't find her very funnny. I didn't even find my blood pressure rising. What a lame book. Ann needs to write less about herself and maybe more of why she believes the Democrats are so wrong and the Republicans are so right. | | If Democrats Had Any Brains, They'd Be Republicans by Crown Forum Just a bunch of quotes | | I thought I was going to be getting an actual book with a lot of good arguments, backed up by political insight and observations. But it turns out, this book is just a compilation of a bunch of Ann Coulter's quotes from previous articles, books, or lectures. I read about half the book, then got bored from brain destimulation. For my first Coulter book, this was a big disappointment. | | If Democrats Had Any Brains, They'd Be Republicans by Crown Forum Product Description | “Uttering lines that send liberals into paroxysms of rage, otherwise known as ‘citing facts,’ is the spice of life. When I see the hot spittle flying from their mouths and the veins bulging and pulsing above their eyes, well, that’s when I feel truly alive.”
So begins If Democrats Had Any Brains, They’d Be Republicans, Ann Coulter’s funniest, most devastating, and, yes, most outrageous book to date.
Coulter has become the brightest star in the conservative firmament thanks to her razor-sharp reasoning and biting wit. Of course, practically any time she opens her mouth, liberal elites denounce Ann, insisting that “She’s gone too far!” and hopefully predicting that this time it will bring a crashing end to her career.
Now you can read all the quotes that have so outraged her enemies and so delighted her legions of fans. More than just the definitive collection of Coulterisms, If Democrats Had Any Brains, They’d Be Republicans includes dozens of brand-new commentaries written by Coulter and hundreds of never-before-published quotations. This is Ann at her best, covering every topic from A to Z. Here you’ll read Coulter’s take on:
• Her politics: “As far as I’m concerned, I’m a middle-of-the-road moderate and the rest of you are crazy.” • Hillary Clinton: “Hillary wants to be the first woman president, which would also make her the first woman in a Clinton administration to sit behind the desk in the Oval Office instead of under it.” • The environment: “God gave us the earth. We have dominion over the plants, the animals, the trees. God said, ‘Earth is yours. Take it. Rape it. It’s yours.’” • Religion: “It’s become increasingly difficult to distinguish the pronouncements of the Episcopal Church from the latest Madonna video.” • Global warming: “The temperature of the planet has increased about one degree Fahrenheit in the last century. So imagine a summer afternoon when it’s 63 degrees and the next thing you know it’s . . . 64 degrees. Ahhhh!!!! Run for your lives, everybody! Women and children first!” • Gun control: “Mass murderers apparently can’t read, since they are constantly shooting up ‘gun-free zones.’” • Bill Clinton: “Bill Clinton’s library is the first one to ever feature an Adults Only section.” • Illegal aliens: “I am the illegal alien of commentary. I will do the jokes that no one else will do.”
If Democrats Had Any Brains, They’d Be Republicans is a must-have for anyone who loves (or loves to hate) Ann Coulter. |
Drupal patch for remote editing
Noah Mittman: “If you’ve wanted to post more than just blogs with Drupal and your remote client of choice, it’s worth taking a look at walkah’s patch to the blogapi.module which allows you to use, say, MarsEdit, to post blog, stories and forum content.” (Note: it works with ecto too.)

DevShed: “I thought that I would have to design and build this forum myself from scratch—until a search on Google and Zope.org turned up a very neat little Zope Product named ZUBB, which offered all the features I needed.”
