| The Story of Easter by Candy Cane Press Good Book | | This is a good book for younger children. It explains the story in the most basic way. The pictures are great too. | | The Story of Easter by Candy Cane Press Not toddler digestable | Since it is a board book, I had expected this book to be suitable for a toddler. It starts off fine enough, asking if Easter is about jelly beans, baby chicks or dressing nice...but it answers that question with a big fat "NO" where I was expecting a "yes, but..." for this crowd. I was hoping it would help me weave a child's notion of Easter into a softened story of Christ for my toddler to understand all aspects of her Easter, a short and sweet answer to "why" there are jelly beans, baby chicks and dressing up nice without alienating what the child understands Easter to be.
Also, my two year old does not know what it means to "die", as I suspect a large majority of the board book audience also would not. I was expecting a more simple, symbolic explanation more digestible for such a young crowd. I know it is difficult to explain Easter without knowing what it means to "die", but that's why I was looking for an Easter board book in the first place.
Might be a nice book for a 5 year old, but it won't help you explain it to a toddler. | | The Story of Easter by Candy Cane Press Short and Sweet | | The book is the perfect length to keep the attention of an infant. My son loves books and their illustrations. A perfect introductory to the story of Easter. A great Easter gift. | | The Story of Easter by Candy Cane Press Great book for toddlers | | As other reviewers said, this book is an excellent way to explain the Easter story to a 3 year old. I agree with another reviewer that the last page isn't really something that a young child can understand but in time and after hearing that each year they will grow to understand what it means. We used this book in our church for a children's sermon and the pastor used it for our Mother's Day Out program when she had a talk with the children about Easter. I will probably be purchasing another copy to give as a gift to my godson. | | The Story of Easter by Candy Cane Press Great book. | | This is prefect for explaining Easter to my 3 year old. Not over detailed but just enough. We have the Christmas one too and love it also. | | The Story of Easter by Candy Cane Press Book Description | | This board book describes this well-known story from the Bible, told in only a few very simple and easily understood words. |

The Apple Press interview about the iPhone
The Apple Press: “As WWDC comes to a close we went ahead and asked Brent Simmons, creator of NetNewsWire, about his opinions in regards to the iPhone and his reaction to Steve Jobs’ controversial 3rd party application announcement.”
Of course, I want badly to develop for the iPhone, but I understand that things happen in steps, and Apple doesn’t necessarily know this will all end up. So I’m cool with it.
