The booklet(of 19 pages) was very nicely put together. Since it was only a few pages long the staple binding didnt bother me. The printing and layout was neat, concise and easy to read. I enjoyed the notes as well at the bottom of the page as they revealed some valuable information. The booklet is printed on a white card and plain black ink.
As for the information, I found it quite informative, but definately NOT for beginners. There are three treatise contained in the booklet, the first consists of details concerning the spirit of planets/metals and their properties and natures which is always useful. The second and third treatise speak about the Great Work and cover the observations made during it. Not enough information for guessing work but more supporting information of other alchemists works so I did find it fairly helpful. It is a nice booklet to have on hand.
I rated it 5 stars for the publishers method of layout for the booklet and 5 stars for supporting information it contains. Paracelsus isnt a very easy read to understand for beginners so make sure you have a few other titles covered first. I hope this has been helpful, there is nothing worse then seeing a book you want to get without any reviews! |
