| Transcending the Levels of Consciousness by Veritas Publishing Hawkin's work is the absolute best. | | This should be a must read for any psychoanalysis/psychology student. Perfect for personal growth, self improvement, sociology, etc, etc,. | | Transcending the Levels of Consciousness by Veritas Publishing More grist for the "True Believer" mill | This book, along with the others the author has churned out are no different whatsoever ( and probably much more "tame" ) than the writings of the late scientific and artistic genius, Walter Russell.
More people than you know have had these sorts of "awakenings" concerning what lies behind our present consensus-reality. However, there's an incredibly significant flaw in all of what they have to say about it afterward, a flaw that those who experience these awakenings almost always pass right over and fail to notice.
This flaw concerns HOW the human being percieves any sort of new and unusual input. The human intellect is exceedingly limited, therefore anything it grasps from what the human being percieves is incredibly INCOMPLETE. Humans are finite beings and while people like Walter Russell and this author may have had enough of a distortion take place in their perceptual mechanism to "see" or "realize" a BIT of "the beyond", the INTERPRETATION which they then hang on what they've experienced comes from the finite human mind's capacity to construct MODELS to explain what the human being percieves. These MODELS are used by the human psyche to FIT things percieved into the human intellect's knowledge base in order to understand them. The human intellect is both FLAWED and FINITE, therefore these MODELS constructed by the mind are just that - merely MODELS, and are NOT the ultimate "truth" for explaining ANYTHING.
The problem is, people like this author ( and Walter Russell, etc. ) all tend to become firm "True Believers" in THEIR OWN INTERPRETATION of what they've experienced or seen BASED ON THE MODEL THEIR INTELLECTS ( FINITE HUMAN INTELLECTS ) HAVE CONSTRUCTED TO EXPLAIN IT. Then they try to get everyone else to buy into their interpretation as heing the "new" gospel.
Now, if you know anything about Sorcery you'll immediately understand that the model and any force the model captures IS VALID AND POWERFUL FOR THE CONSTRUCTOR OF THE MODEL....NOT FOR ANYONE ELSE!!!! This is why Walter Russell could revise the tables in chemistry and produce masterpiece works of art with NO formal training as a sculptor or painter. Its also why Russell could design complex structures like entire high rise apartment blocks with no training as an engineer. But ONLY Russell could do this by functioning within the MODEL his mind/perception had constructed to explain his "supranormal/supernatural" experiences. NO ONE ELSE WHO HAS EVER FOLLOWED RUSSELL'S MODEL AND HIS "WAY" OF LIVING HAS EVER BEEN ABLE TO DUPLICATE RUSSELL'S ACHIEVEMENTS OR EVEN COME CLOSE TO THEM. Why? Because the interpretation Russell gave to his brush with "the beyond" was VALID FOR HIM AND POWERFUL FOR HIM - AND NOT FOR ANYONE ELSE.
The same applies to this author and the MODEL his mind constructed which is now held by his intellect to explain his brush with "the beyond". He has had a taste of something a bit further than what most other humans see as "reality", and naturally his psyche and intellect set to work trying to put it into perspective. The model produced to do this was built on the "way" the author himself saw and explained reality BEFORE experiencing what he did. Why? Because the human mind uses elements within its already existing models to construct new models whenever new perceptions/experiences take place. All components within this particular model the author is offering to amazon. com customers reflect that. And of course, the finished model ( which is now available for viewing in all his works and lectures ) has produced results FOR HIM. But as in the case of Walter Russell, the model is tailor-made for the one whose mind is constructing it, not for anyone else and therefore no one else will achieve results from following it which are nearly as accurate or as powerful as the those author himself realizes.
But there are lots of followers, sheeple, flock members, etc. who will jump at this material in the spirit of gaining the ABSOLUTE TRUTH AT LAST. This is absurd, of course. As Tibetan Sorcerers and Indian Yogis ( among many others ! ) have repeatedly stated for countless centuries...even Ages, "All is mind. All experience is mind produced and induced."
Considering this, one can conclude that ALL "WAYS" of explaining "the beyond" ( which is the Great Mind usually out of our range of awareness ) are "True" and equally are also no way absolutely "True" to the exclusion of the rest. There are as many "True" ways as there are self-aware individuals on the planet or in the Universe ( or beyond ). This author has no monopoly on "truth" or the correct way to view "reality" or how to feel about it. What he does have is HIS truth, way, and approach to life which work for him - period!
To be sure, the information in his books is interesting. Its fun to see how enthusiastic a sheltered and well-programmed individual of our society can get over a brush with what lies just beyond our normal perception. But that's all the material is good for in my opinion. In FACT, we finite beings with our limited capabilities to percieve can NEVER even get a scratch-worth of grasp on just how much there really might be stretching out in all directions and dimensions ( physical and psychological ) from what we THINK is our "selves" and our lives. So, with that in mind, I'd suggest purchasing this book and the other's written by the author and/or those written by Walter Russell IF you want to delve into examples of how the human mind and perception can construct models to explain the NON-USUAL, but when reading the material make sure not to get stuck on someone else's MODEL of their glimps of NON-USUAL things....instead attempt to gain the same ( or even a more complete ) glimps of "the beyond" and then DEVELOP YOUR OWN MODEL ! It will definitely work much better for you than someone else's will. | | Transcending the Levels of Consciousness by Veritas Publishing Finally Connects the Dots | | If you have a mystic's heart and a scientist's curiosity, this is the book to connect the dots. Hawkins combines his personal experience with years of research to present a balanced and informative work. What I found most useful is the way each level is delineated and described with suggestions for how that level may be transcended. It's like standing in a national park with a giant "you are HERE sign" to give you much needed perspective for your journey. More than anything, Transcending the Levels of Consciousness inspires me to keep moving forward in my own spiritual journey with "scenes from coming attractions." It is a guidebook for stepping into your fullest potential. I've read the first 3 books of what is now referred to as his trilogy (Power vs. Force, Eye of the I and I), and now this book. This is the most accessible of his writings, in terms of structure and nomemclature for people seeking to understanding levels of consciousness. So if you haven't read a David Hawkins book before, this is a good place to start.
Long-term fans of his work may miss the scholarly and more advanced tone of Eye of the I or I, but this book provides a better "how to" look at advancing your level of consciousness, and the blocks and positionalities that define each level to be transcended for the spritual seeker on the way to enlightenment.
And fans of his Map of Consciousness will be pleased to find numerous other charts that diagram ideas and perspectives that provide insight into his writing.
