How to Talk to a Liberal (If You Must): The World According to Ann Coulter by Crown Forum

Just plain stupid

Her ridiculous bias blinds Ann "the Man" Coulter from entertaining concepts that deviate even the slightest from her own narrow view. Republicans in general have serious issues with empathy, but this witch takes it to a new and dangerous level of lies and deception. Liberals are good people who feel for those around them, they care about the world, they are not superstitious, they are scientific, and they rely on hard facts. Coulter's view of liberals is a gross generalization that categorizes them as super-hippies who don't know anything and spew peace and environmental speech without knowing why. Although there is of course a lot of leftist crazies who are uneducated, the generalization is overwhelmingly false, just ask the bulk those with Ph.ds how they lean politically. The answer is liberal, because liberals have the imagination and creativity to see the long term effects of issues and the foresight to avoid tragedy. But in the event of tragedy, they remain in touch with the real world, and have the empathy to help. Republicans like Coulter are an insult to humanity, and so is this book. The next time you criticize a liberal, why don't you first thank them for your 40 hour work week, your union membership, your minimum wage, and the United States itself, for liberals devised this country, and conservatives aim to destroy it. The only thing Coulter has in common with the founders is the name of John Adams, as in apple. F--

I like ann coulter

Ann Coulter is mean spirited to liberals but sometimes people love hearing angry words. This isn't the book to read if you want a fair look at conservatives if you are a moderate or a liberal but is a book with good laughs if you are a conservative. Coulter is one gutsy woman who isn't afraid of her targets. She says some of the meanest stuff ever but much of it is true. This book does however only have old columns she wrote for human event. I suggest going to website to read column instead. This is a cheapstakes way of getting political entertainment.

Ann Coulter For President!

Ann Coulter says everything we all should but are afraid to because we're not as brilliant as this woman. I will read everything she has out and will continue to keep up with whatever she is doing just to stay in touch with reality, she's doing the work, we can keep up with the truth through her hard work!

loved, loved, loved it.

I got the CD because I drive a long commute to work. I loved it. Ann is so smart and sassy. Liberals can not handle the truth. They hate religion other than islam (can't offend the muslims) It is about time someone wrote a book on how so many True Americans feel. Read this book or listen to it and it will enrich your life.

Doesn't live up to its name

I bought the book hoping it would have some clues on how to talk to the spineless, moronic, leftard rejects of the doltish Democrats. I wanted Anne to tell me how to properly insult them in meaningful ways. I wanted ammunition for the war against liberal stupidity. I was hoping Anne would give me some insight into why the Lenin/Stalin-lovers hate America and themselves. She didn't do what I thought the title suggested might be in the book. Not that it wasn't fun to read, and not that re-reading her old articles isn't fun . . . I just wanted more.

I recommend the book, but don't think it is going to live up to its title.

I think it is fun to see the "reviews" written by kool-aid swillers that think Columbia University should give discounts on pies when conservatives come to speak. You liberals are the funniest things I've seen since watching the monkeys at the zoo.

Product Description

Welcome to the world of Ann Coulter. With her monumental bestsellers Treason, Slander, and High Crimes and Misdemeanors, Coulter has become the most recognized and talked-about conservative intellectual in years—and certainly the most controversial. Now, in How to Talk to a Liberal (If You Must), which is sure to ignite impassioned debate, she offers her most comprehensive analysis of the American political scene to date. With incisive reasoning, refreshing candor, and razor-sharp wit, she reveals just why liberals have got it so wrong.

In this powerful and entertaining book, which draws on her weekly columns, Coulter ranges far and wide. No subject is off-limits, and no comment is left unsaid. After all, she writes, “Nothing too extreme can be said about liberals because it’s all true.” How to Talk to a Liberal (If You Must) offers Coulter’s unvarnished take on:

•The essence of being a liberal: “The absolute conviction that there is one set of rules for you, and another, completely different set of rules for everyone else.”

•John Kerry: “A reporter asked Kerry, ‘Are you for or against gay marriage?’ As usual, his answer was, ‘Yes.’ ”

•Her 9/11 comments: “I am often asked if I still think we should invade their countries, kill their leaders, and convert them to Christianity. The answer is: Now more than ever!”

•The state of the Democratic Party: “Teddy Kennedy crawls out of Boston Harbor with a quart of Scotch in one pocket and a pair of pantyhose in the other, and Democrats hail him as their party’s spiritual leader.”

•Her philosophy for arguing with liberals: “Tough love, except I don’t love them. My ‘tough love’ approach is much like the Democrats’ ‘middle-class tax cuts’—everything but the last word.”

•The “Treason Lobby”: “Want to make liberals angry? Defend the United States.”

In this full-on Coulterpalooza, you’ll find the real, uncensored Ann Coulter. A special concluding chapter even includes the pieces that squeamish editors refused to publish—“what you could have read if you lived in a free country,” says Coulter. How to Talk to a Liberal (If You Must) is a stunning reminder of why Ann Coulter’s commentary has achieved must-read status.

This forceful, sarcastic, and often hilarious book offers tips on arguing with liberals, which include the following: don't be defensive, always outrage the enemy, and never apologize to, compliment, or show graciousness to a Democrat. Welcome to the world according to Ann Coulter. Ever combative, Coulter is unafraid to court controversy or confront her detractors head-on, whether they are mainstream journalists and talk-show hosts who have misquoted her without apology or "weak and frightened conservatives" craving liberal approval. Though the writing is often over-the-top, the book if full of one-liners that will delight conservatives, such as "the best way to convert liberals is to have them move out of their parents' home, get a job, and start paying taxes." But there is more here than just insults and countless jabs at Bill Clinton, and even her most devoted readers will find much new material in the book. Largely a collection of her syndicated columns from the past decade, How to Talk to a Liberal also includes columns that were never released or were rejected by editors--in Coulter's words, "what you could have read if you lived in a free country." --Shawn Carkonen
