If you're willing to ignore the grammatical error, the title of the book is great. Sadly, the content falls short. Some pages make excellent points about being satisfied with what you have and the importance of ALL jobs in our society. Unfortunately, those concepts are completely blown out of the water with point #4: "You have the Power to Get What You Want". The author encourages kids to dream about anything they could possibly desire and that all they have to do is "believe" that they will have them and they will. He actually uses the phrase "wealth and riches of every kind". The corresponding illustration is a girl putting up pictures of a car, big house, horse, and a purse among other "high-ticket" items. Not exactly the values we were hoping to impart.
Not sure why people have taged this as "religious". I don't believe that any mainstream religion supports this type of thinking or greed. |

| I purchased this book for all my Grandchildren. The Teachers at their schools thought it was wonderful as they also are students of Dr. Dyer. |
| It's Not What You've Got by Hay House Excellent... Wish there were more! |
This book is a God send. My sons, 9 and 7 1/2, were so engaged in the life lessons this book offers. The illustrations are great conversation pieces. Dr. Wayne Dyer's books ( all three) are an excellent aid for a parent who wants to introduce spiritual well being to young children.
This book would also make a great read aloud for students. |
| It's Not What You've Got by Hay House Monetary awareness for children |
| I enjoyed this book's well-rounded approach informing children about money: simple, to the point, with an empowering/humanistic/spiritual touch, helping remove issues of status from monetary "wealth" while still emphasizing the need to handle money properly. An easy 5 stars. |

I love all of Dr. Dyer's children's books. The ten lessons about money and abundance in this book are important for children and adults alike, and are poeticly stated clearly and simply in a way that easily invites wonderful discussions about the messages. And I really like the questions at the end to further the discussions. It's such a treat to listen to the thoughts of my children that these discussions invoke.
Adult friends that I've given this book to were very grateful for the new ideas on money and abundance they learned enabling them to positively change their thougts.
And I love the softly colored illustrations.

| It's Not What You've Got by Hay House Product Description |
Dr. Wayne W. Dyer, the internationally best-selling author and lecturer, has written a new book in his series of inspirational books for kids. You're Not What You've Got addresses the topics of money and abundance, with the understanding that children’s earliest thoughts and perceptions about money are those that will last throughout their lives. The concepts presented in this beautifully illustrated book include: Money does not define who you are; it doesn't matter what others have, and abundance comes in many forms. Unlike most books on this subject, You,re Not What You've Got is not a how-to manual on spending and saving for kids, but rather a positive, spiritual approach to the meaning of money.
