Robin trueblood's review

One of the most moving books I have ever read! It should be in every new mothers library, and all moms in between! It really makes you stop and think of the precious time you spend with your children, especially when you are caught up in the day to day stresses of trying to raise them. It helps bring into focus and helps the reader appreciate every aspect of a childs life. It has become a standard baby shower gift! Thank you Karen Kingsbury for writing such a beautiful book

Let me Hold YOu Longer

This is a wonderful book! My only regret is that I did not buy more! Emotional and poignant, it cuts right to the heart of a Mother. Not for those who have lost a child as it reminds you of all the lasts...

Beautiful Book

I just bought this book for a woman who had her 6th child. The pictures are beautiful and the text is so heart-warming. I need a tissue almost every time I read it (warm fuzzy and happy tears)> If you are looking for a book that cherishes motherhood look no further! Although this mother is cherishing moments with her son, it embraces motherhood.

Product Description

2005 Logos Bookstores Award winner for Best Children's Book

With lighthearted illustrations and a sweet, reflective tone, best-selling author Karen Kingsbury encourages parents to savor not only their children's "firsts"--like first steps and first words--but the "lasts" as well. With the tenderness of a mother speaking directly to her child, Karen reminds us not to miss last days of kindergarten and last at bats in Little League amidst the whirlwind of life. Adapted from a poem in Rejoice, mothers and grandmothers everywhere will identify with the tenderhearted reflections in Let Me Hold You Longer. An ideal gift book for special occasions from baby showers to graduations.
