| This is not a bad book, however, I wish I skipped this one, even though I got it at a bargain price. I purchased it based on good reviews. What a mistake! This is a book for the sentimental parents, not for babies or children. My babies who love their story time are not interested at all, and I can care less about it. There are so many excellent books for the little ones, choose something else! |

I just FELL IN LOVE with this book after I checked it out of the library one day. So much so, I HAD to buy it for my girls' library! Last night, after they went to bed, I "made" my husband listen as I read it. He rolled his eyes and reluctantly obliged me. ;o) After I read the last page, he said, "Thanks" (sarcastically), wiped his eyes, and carried on reading his emails. LOL It's a tearjerker for any loving parent, that's for sure! Heck, my girls almost cried when I read it to them! My oldest (age 7) kept saying "Awwww", and my youngest (age 5) couldn't snuggle closer if she were attached to me. ;o)
I somewhat agree that this is more of a mother's book than a child, but as I mentioned, my girl's love the "closeness" of this book. If anything, buy it for yourself, tuck it away with your children's baby items and pull it out every now and then for a good TEAR-fest.
