The Little Book of Lipo: Everything You Need to Know About Liposuction but Didn't Know to Ask by Busystreet Press Cut to the Chase
Once I had made my decision to have liposuction, I faced a little dilemma: embarrassment. And it wasn't the common, run of the mill embarrassment of the macho male who is getting a cosmetic procedure. I am a physician -- but I haven't seen the inside of an opoerating room in 20 years since my medical school day. When when I talked to my plastic surgeon about the procedure, he assumed that I -- as a doctor --was totally conversant with all aspects of the surgery. I had no idea what to expect, but I didn't want to look like a dope asking basic questions. The Little Book of Lipo came to the rescue. It was invaluable to me. And in fact, going forward I sounded like a liposuction expert when discussing the procedure with my surgeon and my friends. It is a must read for anybody short of a plastic surgeon.
The Little Book of Lipo: Everything You Need to Know About Liposuction but Didn't Know to Ask by Busystreet Press The "little" book that packs a big punch!
I've known several people who have gotten liposuction in the past couple of years, with varying results and levels of satisfaction. Overwhelmingly, the ones who are the happiest with their altered bodies are the ones who had the procedure for the right reasons, picked the right surgeon and had realistic and positive expectations regarding the outcome. The rest of them wish they'd had "The Little Book of Lipo" before they had the surgery so they could have made sure they had all their bases covered as well!
Ms. Martin's book a must-have for anyone considering lipo. The author takes you, step-by-step, through everything you need to know, ask or think about before you have a surgeon suck fat out of your body...and in a very down-to-earth and entertaining manner to boot. Having a cosmetic procedure such as liposuction is not something to be taken lightly. It is surgery and as such, it needs to be thought out, researched and contemplated from all angles before the decision to proceed is reached. Any elective surgery is expensive and there are no guarantees for success. But with "The Little Book of Lipo," you are much more likely to get the results you desire because you will be educated, prepared and primed for success.
Now, finally, I can start looking for three surgeons to interview and kiss my thighs goodbye...forever! Thank you, Carol! |
The Little Book of Lipo: Everything You Need to Know About Liposuction but Didn't Know to Ask by Busystreet Press Outstanding!
Wow! Carol Martin has stepped up to the plate and hit a home run! Her "soup-to-nuts" approach has left no questions unanswered. Carol's refreshing candidness and acute attention to detail strips the myth and mystery from cosmetic surgery in general, and liposuction in particular. The text is both humorous and comprehensively informative. Sprinkled with anecdotes, pictures and checklists, Carol's book leaves no doubt she is the authority she claims to be. This venture left me anxiously awaiting an encore. Can "Little Books" about face lifts and breast surgeries be far behind?
The Little Book of Lipo: Everything You Need to Know About Liposuction but Didn't Know to Ask by Busystreet Press Product Description
Unlike most books on cosmetic surgery that do a broad brush of all options and procedures, “The Little Book of Lipo” is a true insider’s guide to the most popular surgery in the country: liposuction, its pros, cons, and how to prepare, get the most out of it, and recover safely and fast. Not only does author Carol Martin give you the power to analyze whether to lipo or not to lipo, she offers a step-by-step consumer’s guide on how to choose a top surgeon, from checking credentials to a list of questions to ask, how to prepare your house, friends, family, overcome any fears, the right diet and danger signs to look for while healing—everything you need to know but didn’t know to ask. “You can trust what you learn from this book. There is no agenda here except to educate the consumer,” says Dr. Vince Zubowicz, a top Atlanta plastic surgeon who wrote the forward. “You won’t find this kind of unbiased information in the yellow pages or a website.”
