| The book came very quckly and in very good condition. I purchased it for our adult grandaughter and I've no feedback from her yet but I'm sure she will enjoy it. | The Dream Giver by Multnomah Books fantastic book |
This is a Christian book but you wouldn't know it reading it. and least not for 3/4 of the book. i mean that as a good thing. It's not preachy and i thoroughly recommend it for Christians and non Christians alike. The first part is a really motivation story about someone going after his goal despite everything around him holding him back.
I've bought 2 copies of this book so far to give to others. |
| The Dream Giver by Multnomah Books An Excellent Encouragement to Live the Dream God Has For You |
The first 1/2 of "The Dream Giver" starts out as a parable much like in the form of the Christian class "Pilgram's Progress". The second 1/2 closes with encouragements and practical applications to live out the dream that God has for you.
Some of the points covered in the book include:
1. Giants of opposition you will face in wanting pursue your dream.
2. How to deal with those giants of opposition.
3. How times of opposition can strengthen and encourage you to live out your dream.
4. The importance of being around people who can help you pursue your dream.
5. Encouragement to obey and trust God instead of yourself and others and do not let fear keep you from pursuing your dream.
The next to last chapter lists questions from acual people who want to pursue their dream but are unsure as to how to best pursue it. Wilkinson addresses the quesions in a practical and easy-to-understand manner.
I highly recommend the Dream Giver to anyone who is tired of living the status quo and is wanting to step out and try something new in God's power and strength.

The Dream Giver is a great modern day parable of a man named 'ordinary' who is called to go after his dream. The book has deffinently opened my eyes more to God's calling in my life and I have grown closer to God in the process.

| This is an awesome book to read for yourself and to share with others. It is so realistic, even though it is portrade as fictional. There were to many times in my own life that I experienced what the main character did in this book. There have been many times when I wanted to give up on my dreams and goals in life, because of someone or something discouraged me. I have been enlightened since reading this book and it has given me hope to go after what I truly desire in life. A friend shared this book with me in 2003, when I decided to read it while on a 5 hour flight to Arizona and I wasn't able to put it down. It really caught my attention and I couldn't wait to find out how it would end. This book is great for all ages to enjoy. |
